Ultimate ‘u’ success

I was approached to re-design this business card.

My client asked for the card to be simplified and to maintain images very similar to the original artwork, specifically using a black and gold colour scheme. They also specified that they would want the card to be double-sided.

In addition to the business card, my client asked for a re-drawing of their logo.
The logo was to include the same text and a shortened version of the tag line.

Self elected project

I designed posters as part of the resolution to a brief set by myself for my Final Year Project.

I started the project with the very broad subjects of Arabic calligraphy & Islamic pattern, and through extensive
research and exploration of these themes I decided to create a new typeface. The typeface which I coined
‘Kataba’ is heavily influenced by Islamic pattern.

RSA 2008/2009 Competition

The brief asked for a collection of 6 stamps that would highlight the importance of alternative energy resources and energy consumption. I used repitition to highlight the importance of mass change in both the creation and saving of energy.

A well established client commissioned me to design them a new menu. As briefed, the menu is simple and uses a decorative border.

I was approached by a client who I previously worked for to design a business card.

The design was simple but strong, using an abstraction of the type draw focus within the golden ratio.

D&AD

The D&AD brief was to create Faber Film a range of book cover designs, the brief also specified that the design was purely typographical. My main inspiration for the design was the ratio of the cinema screen which pans both the front and back of the cover.

I designed two sets of cover designs for the D&AD brief. This second set focuses more on the credits shown at the end of movies with regards to layout and style. However, I have still used the cover as a platform to display a movie screen.
